In Dec 2005, Drew McLellan created 24 Ways – a Christmas-inspired series of articles. Each day a new article is written by a different expert, sharing their knowledge. It’s described as an advent calendar for web geeks. Other sites have followed his lead and created similar projects. The site 24 Pull Requests makes it easy for people to get involved with publishing fixes to open source projects on GitHub. 24 Days in December is a site for the PHP Community for share knowledge.

In this same spirit, this year I want to write 24 posts on my own site. I have a few days worth planned out, but I’m mostly winging it. They won’t all be articles. Some will be reviews of external content – podcasts, and books, for example. Some will be reflections on current events or what other people have written. Some will be lists to interesting resources; Others will be editorials, or critiques. I think a mix of content will be a good thing in the long run. If this sounds like an interesting challenge, I encourage you to  do this challenge on your own website.

This will be fun! I hope you enjoy it … and Merry Christmas

Hello Andrew, I think that this is awesome as to what you are doing and I shall try to follow like mindedly (Can i just ‘re-blog’ what you post? Is that still a ‘thing’?). Joking aside, I am going to try as well, to document what I am studying and learning. Thanks for doing this and I enjoyed this first article.
    Cheers!
